Townsend's 2017 Smoky Mountain Snowdown Festival is January 26 - 29, and Apple Valley is excited to be involved again this year! The entire weekend will be packed with fun events, delicious food & drinks, and more.
This year, Apple Valley Cafe will host the Charity Chili Challenge, with all proceeds* benefiting the contestants' charity of choice!

Rules of the contest:
Contestants provide 5 gallons of cooked chili to Apple Valley Cafe by Friday January 27th at 5pm.
Apple Valley Cafe will heat and serve your chili by the sample. Guests will vote throughout the day and the wining chilis will receive the following prizes for their charity:
First place – 50% of the ticket sales
Second place – 35% of the ticket sales
Third Place – 15% of the ticket sales
Contestants are encouraged to bring signage and literature to promote their charities.

We are conveniently located off Lamar Alexander Parkway in Townsend and have ample parking for your whole party. We can whip up some food that is sure to leave everyone full and happy, whether the special occasion is a birthday, an anniversary or just because it’s a Tuesday! Ice cream and fried apple pies will make it memorable and you can wash it down with a brewed ice tea, cola or Calf Killer premium craft beer on tap.
We feature several areas for private functions that we can tailor make for your event, reception, or meeting. We have a private room off the main cafe that can seat 40, a private deck that seats 75 on US 321 for a "patio" event, and an indoor/outdoor venue adjacent to our property that can seat up to 100. We have several places for tents on flat grass that can accommodate up to 200 people.
We can even arrange for a tent with a deejay, catered food options and a beer garden. Your guests can even book a Dancing Bear Cabin within walking distance so they can relax and enjoy the occasion.
